Actually, tonight would be the busiest night for me as i will preparing something for my very first family gathering in
So i'm thinking of to add spaghetti, nuggets, puding gula hangus (this one my lovely SIL will do it for me) & fruit cocktails. Itupon masih ragu-ragu lagi untuk tambah another menu lagi. Tapi takut tak sempat kalau nak buat semua. Maklumlah, Zaila ni bukan cekap sangat kat dapur, karang mahu ada yang balik sebab tak tahan nak menunggu lama sangat;D so i guess fried rice would be the easiest menu that i can prepare in a short time *tupon kena masak 2 kali kot memandangkan kuali kat rumah ni idoklah besar sangat* -__-
I'm quite excited juga because this is the first time Zaila buat family gathering. Memanglah pernah buat masa raya (2 kali juga) & yes masa tu me with some helps from my MIL & 2 lovely SIL, we manage to prepare nasi kerabu for almost 100+ guess consist of our siblings (adik beradik aje dah berpuluh-puluh orang), colleagues & neighbors. Berpeluh juga ketiak masak semua tu tapi Alhamdulillah semuanya mencukupi;) so hope this time pon everyone will enjoy it too lah kan;D
Actually Zaila suka tengok rancangan "License to Grill" yang kat saluran AFC tu.
While kids pula Zaila ingat nak sediakan pool plastik kat depan rumah so that they all boleh berendam sepetangan without disturbing their parents to melantak kan?? But i guess this is all my imagination je, will have to wait for my SIL to discuss about this *macamlah nak buat makan untuk 100 orang kan*
Apa-apa pon, can't wait for tomorrow. Harap semuanya akan berjalan dengan lancarlah ya;)
By the way Zaila ada terjumpa resepi ni bila search kat google pasal resepi BBQ ni. Nampak macam sedap je so why not share kat sini;-
- 20 chicken wings, arm of the wing intact
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper (5ml)
- 2 teaspoons ginger, freshly grated (10ml)
- 15 milligrams garlic, freshly chopped (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar, grated (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15ml)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (30ml)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (30ml)
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce to taste (15 –30ml)
- 6 lime wedges (optional garnish)
- Cilantro leaves to taste (optional garnish)
- Rinse chicken wings with cold water and pat dry. Place wings in a large glass bowl.
- In a separate bowl combine pepper, ginger, garlic, palm sugar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, lime juice and chili garlic sauce and stir to evenly combine. Add the wings and toss evenly with the marinade. Place the wings in the refrigerator and allow them to marinate for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of overnight.
- When ready to bake the wings, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Place the wings on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, turning them half way through. Wings are done when they look shiny, golden brown and have a bit of a crispy edge around them.
- Serve with your favourite hot sauce.
- Garnish with lime wedges and cilantro if desired.
3 ½ pounds lamb ribs (1.59kg) with lots of fat (ask your butcher)
2 onions, chopped fine
2 teaspoons minced garlic (10ml)
1 tablespoon liquid honey (15ml)
¼ cup olive oil (60ml)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano (15ml)
2 teaspoons chopped thyme (10ml)
1 cup dry white wine (250ml)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (5ml)
¼ cup fresh lemon juice (60ml)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (5ml)
1 tablespoon finely chopped lemon zest (15ml)
Kosher salt to taste
Directions :
Place ribs into a sealable plastic baggie.
To make marinade mix in a small bowl the diced onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, honey, olive oil, white wine, pepper, cinnamon, lemon zest and lemon juice. Pour into baggie with ribs reserving 1/3 of a cup (80ml) for basting later. Place in refrigerator over night.
Remove ribs from refrigerator and discard excess marinade and season liberally with salt and pepper.
Prepare the barbecue for indirect grilling. Preheat the barbecue to 220ºF/110ºC. Place the ribs on the side of the BBQ without direct heat. Cook for 1.5 2 hours with the BBQ lid closed or until tender. With 15 minutes of cooking time remaining, lift BBQ lid and drizzle ribs with leftover marinade that was reserved.
